Compensation for man injured during surgery
Boyes Turner's medical negligence lawyers recovered £1.5k in compensation for a 53 year old man following an injury to his liver during surgery.
Following a laparoscopic cholecystectomy the man underwent an operation under general aesthetic to remove his gall bladder. During the procedure he began to slip off the operating table and as a result a diathermy hook penetrated his liver causing two surgical lacerations. He was not left with any ongoing problems as a result.
Boyes Turner’s medical negligence lawyers sent a letter of claim to the hospital following which liability was admitted. A settlement figure of £1.5k in compensation was negotiated and there was no cost to our client in bringing the claim.
